Description: An autobiographical account of the author's travels and experiences. An introduction is made by Mr Ismail Al-Azhari, the Prime Minister at the time, who praises the author. Further introductions are made by a number of other notables, including Tom Little, who also praises the author, and Muhammad Ahmed Barakat, who talks about the legendary man (the author, or 'Sudanese Sinbad') and provides an introduction to some of his books, and Muhammad Ahmed Mahjoub. The book contains several chapters, in which he talks about his origins, his childhood, his first love, from Hijaz to the countryside. He also talks about Al-Liwaa al-Abyad (the White Banner Society) and the secret Sudanese resistance movements and deals with the killing of Sardar and then the pioneers of success in Brazil. The Al-Abyad Brigade Association is a Sudanese political movement that emerged in the mid-1920s in Sudan to raise national political awareness in Sudan against British colonialism and call for unity between Egypt and Sudan under the banner of unity of the Nile Valley. Al-Liwaa al-Abyad (the White Banner) Society is a Sudanese political movement that emerged in the mid-1920s in Sudan to raise national political awareness in Sudan against British colonialism and call for unity between Egypt and Sudan under the banner of unity of the Nile Valley. The book was originally written in the Arabic language, but later translated into English.
