A photograph of the October's demonstration on Jama'a eve. The October Revolution was the first uprising of the Sudanese people against military regimes in Sudan, which toppled General Abboud. It was followed in April 1985 by demonstrations that overthrew Field Marshal Numeiri. More recently in December 2018, the demonstrations toppled Field Marshal Omar al-Bashir.
